Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited at Banstead is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain spotless, welcoming homes for residents in our luxury care and nursing home. You will handle housekeeping, assist with laundry, monitor safety, and work across departments such as Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Wellbeing.

NVQ level 1 is advantageous; day shifts are available in part-time (22.5h) or full-time (37.5h) arrangements. Rewards include generous leave, free meals, and ongoing career development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness.
• Able to maintain pleasant, well-presented resident areas and communal spaces.
• NVQ level 1 qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Keep resident homes and shared spaces tidy and presentable.
• Assist with laundry to ensure clean linen for residents.
• Identify safety risks and help reduce hazards with the team.
• Work across Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, and Wellbeing & Lifestyle as needed.

Your role at Signature

Take pride in creating a beautiful environment for our residents, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Housekeeper at our luxury care and nursing home in Banstead.

What you will do

As our Housekeeper, you’ll be the sort of person who doesn’t go out without leaving a tidy bed. You’ll apply your high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness to our resident’s homes and communal living spaces, to ensure they’re spotlessly clean and beautifully presented.

You’ll also be working in laundry ensuring that the linen is kept clean for residents’ comfort and hygiene. You’ll also have your eye out for potential fire and accident risks, working with the housekeeping and maintenance team to reduce any risks to resident’s safety.

Our residents will notice and appreciate attention to detail and a high standard of cleanliness builds confidence in our service delivery.

Internally, this role is called Hospitality Assistant, if you are successful this will be your job title. You will be required to work across a range of departments including Housekeeping, Food & Beverage and Wellbeing & Lifestyle. Responsibilities will vary on each shift depending on which department you are supporting.
