Job summary

The Ship Inn in Mousehole is seeking a friendly part-time Housekeeper to make guests feel at home and keep rooms spotless, bright, and welcoming.

You’ll be part of a close-knit team with flexible hours, paid time off, meal provided on shifts over 6 hours, and discounts on food, drinks, and stays. We’ll support you to learn if you’re new to this work, helping you grow in a charming seaside setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or hospitality is a plus.
• Able to provide a warm welcome to guests and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Keep guest rooms and public spaces clean and tidy.
• Welcome guests and assist with their needs during their stay.
• Support daily cleaning schedule and reporting of maintenance issues.

Job description

The Ship Inn bustles with life in the summer, transforming to a romantic and cosy snug in the winter. Oozing character and charm, this traditional seaside inn occupies an enviable position right on the water’s edge, overlooking Mousehole’s famous harbour. You’ll be working in one of West Cornwall’s most beautiful destinations, with a wealth of golden beaches, dramatic coastal walks, and popular attractions on the doorstep.

Part time opportunity! We’re looking for a Housekeeper to join our close-knit team. You’ll provide a warm welcome to guests, making them feel at home throughout their stay, while keeping our rooms looking spick and span. If you haven’t done this kind of work before, we’ll support you to learn.
