Job summary

Cornwallis Care is hiring a Housekeeper for Par, Cornwall. This on-site role is available as part-time or full-time, with pay ranging from £12.80 to £25.60 per hour. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment for residents, while delivering compassionate, person-centered care.

Applicants should be kind, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently. Experience in housekeeping is helpful but not essential. Bank holiday enhancements apply.

Job Purpose

The role of the Housekeeper is essential to helping our residents livefull, happy, and healthy lives. You’ll take pride in delivering a spotless and hygienic home environment that contributes to their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, sinks, and countertops
• Making beds and changing linens
• Using cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, and cloths effectively
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with toiletries and fresh towels
• Cleaning mirrors, glass surfaces, and communal areas
• Tidying and refreshing residents’ rooms
• Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies as required
• Reporting repairs or maintenance issues promptly
• Assisting inlaundry dutiesand ensuring cleanliness throughout the home
• Interacting positively with residents — joining conversations, offering a smile, and contributing to their sense of home

Requirements
