Hendra Court Nursing Home in Par, Cornwall is seeking a friendly Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. The role supports a caring team and offers flexible hours with weekend and bank holiday uplifts.

Responsibilities include cleaning, laundry, and assisting in daily resident well-being, with emphasis on dignity and comfort. A supportive, person-centred approach is essential to brighten residents' days.

Competenze

• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred, but not essential.
• Willingness to work in both cleaning and laundry areas of the home.
• Able to communicate with residents and colleagues.

Mansioni

• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, sinks, and countertops.
• Making beds and changing linens.
• Using cleaning tools such as vacuums, mops, and cloths effectively.
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with toiletries and fresh towels.
• Cleaning mirrors, glass surfaces, and communal areas.
• Tidying and refreshing residents' rooms.
• Monitoring and ordering cleaning supplies as required.
• Reporting repairs or maintenance issues promptly.
• Assisting in laundry duties and ensuring cleanliness throughout the home.
• Interacting positively with residents - joining conversations, offering a smile, and contributing to their sense of home.

Job Purpose

The role of the Housekeeper is essential to helping our residents live full, happy, and healthy lives. You'll take pride in delivering a spotless and hygienic home environment that contributes to their comfort, dignity, and wellbeing.

Requirements

• Highly motivated with great attention to detail
• Able to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
• Comfortable communicating with residents and colleagues
• Experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred, but not essential
• Willingness to work in both cleaning and laundry areas of the home
• Passionate about making residents feel comfortable, safe, and cared for

Payrate

• £12.80 per hour
• £16.00 per hour (Weekends)
• £25.60 per hour (Bank Holidays)
