Job summary

Cygnet Hospital Sherwood is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for our patients. You’ll work 40 hours per week, or 32 hours if preferred, performing daily and weekly cleaning across the site with COSHH compliance and safety in mind.

We value friendly, conscientious staff who communicate well and take pride in high cleaning standards. DBS checks are required; pension, cycle-to-work and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning, housekeeping or domestic work (desirable).
• Knowledgeable of COSHH (desirable).
• Friendly, conscientious & have a positive attitude.
• A good communicator.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the site maintains a high level of cleanliness.
• Carry out daily & weekly cleaning regimes.
• Maintain & replenish stock and ensure that equipment is clean & well maintained.
• Employ safe working practices & adhere to health & safety procedures.
• Comply with COSHH regulations.

The service features three wards, including a 12 bed PICU ward and two 16 bed acute wards.Cygnet Hospital Sherwood has a full multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and will support the acute needs of adults requiring rapid access to mental health services, including those who may need an intensive care environment.We’re focused on length of stay and making sure individuals move as quickly and safely as possible from our services to the most appropriate and least restrictive environment for them. Individuals can step down through the pathways available within Cygnet services.
