Job summary

Hampden House, a 66-bed nursing home managed by the HICA Group, is seeking a reliable Housekeeper. You will maintain a clean, safe, welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff while supporting the wider care team.

Candidates with housekeeping experience, good attention to detail, and a caring, respectful approach are invited to apply. You will work independently and as part of a team, adhering to infection control procedures and training as required.

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clean residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

Clean residents' bedrooms, bathrooms and communal areas to a high standard. Ensure the home is hygienic, well-presented and free from unpleasant odours. Safely use, store and maintain cleaning products and equipment. Support the care team where required. Maintain accurate cleaning records. Promote residents' dignity, privacy and independence. Follow infection prevention and control procedures. Attend training and staff meetings as required.

About us:

Hampden House is a 66-bed purpose-built nursing home located within the prestigious Duchy Estate. The home provides the highest level of facilities and services from personal and nursing care, short-stays and
end-of-life care. We have recently opened a new memory suite for those who require extra care due to a dementia diagnosis, while the rest of the home offers a more hotel-like atmosphere, allowing residents with full capacity the freedom to come and go as they wish. Residents in the main part of the home benefit from a touch of additional care provided by our friendly, dedicated team, ensuring their day-to-day life remains relaxed and enjoyable. The home consists of a spacious and stylish communal area complete with a large TV and a bar, along with an elegant dining area. These areas are complimented by a vast number of windows which make the space very open and light. These areas wrap around a courtyard lushly adorned with foliage and is a lovely suntrap. In fact, the staff often put out tables and chairs in the summertime, so their residents have the option to eat al-fresco or simply enjoy the sunshine. Hampden House is also currently undergoing some transformational
renovations to provide a more extravagant yet homely, cosy atmosphere. The HICA Group are a Not for Profit organisation providing a range of care services to older people and people with learning difficulties both within residential and nursing homes and within the community
