CareTech UK Ltd is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join Uplands House Care Home in Fareham. You will clean designated areas, manage cleaning supplies, and maintain a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff. Training is provided and you will be supported to develop essential skills in a busy care setting.

Full-time, 37.5 hours per week on a rota. The role requires COSHH knowledge, safe handling of cleaning equipment, and a positive, patient-focused approach in a residential care

Qualifications

• COSHH knowledge and safe chemical handling.
• Ability to follow infection control measures and health & safety protocols.
• Attention to detail with ability to work to deadlines.

Responsabilités

• Clean designated areas of the service and document activities.
• Monitor, order and manage cleaning supplies; stock checks and storage.
• Keep cleaning equipment clean, safe and maintained; report faults.
• Follow health and safety procedures, infection control, COSHH and safeguarding.

Rate: £12.71 per hour

Permanent | Full-time | 37.5 hours per week (rota-based)

About the Service - Uplands House Care Home

Uplands House is a nurse-led care home compromising of 20 individual rooms with en-suites and 4 self-contained flat lets with an in-house psychology team for people with long-term mental health needs.

Uplands House supports males and females, aged 18+ with long-term mental health needs including any physical health conditions including those with co-morbid diagnoses, a secondary diagnosis of Learning Disability, Autism and Asperger's.

The Role

• Clean all designated areas of the service and ensure cleaning activities are properly documented.
• Monitor, order and manage cleaning supplies, including completing stock checks and ensuring safe storage of products.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is kept clean, safe and well maintained, reporting any faults or hazards to management.
• Follow health and safety procedures, including infection control, COSHH requirements, fire safety and safeguarding practices.
• Support the service by attending training, participating in meetings, maintaining confidentiality and contributing to a safe, positive environment for patients and staff

Who We’re Looking For

Ideally you will have experience within a cleaning/housekeeping or a hygiene-based role where you have worked to deadlines and within set guidelines. Cleaning experience is not essential as full training will be provided - however you will need high attention to detail with the ability to follow instruction with little supervision.
