Job summary

Priesty Fields Care Home, part of Sandstone Care Group in Congleton, is looking for a Housekeeper to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene for residents and families.

You will be responsible for daily cleaning, laundry, stock control, and supporting events, with a team-focused, proactive approach and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping, cleaning, or laundry experience in a professional or domestic setting.
• Strong attention to detail and an understanding of hygiene and infection control standards.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning: Maintain all areas of the home to an impeccable standard, including resident rooms, communal spaces, and staff areas.
• Infection Control: Follow strict cleaning protocols to ensure compliance with infection control standards.
• Laundry Management: Assist in managing the laundry service, including washing, drying, ironing, and organizing resident garments and linens.
• Stock Control: Monitor and manage cleaning and laundry supplies, ensuring the home is always fully stocked.
• Event Preparation: Support staff by preparing spaces for events, activities, and family visits, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Team Support: Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and adaptability to the home’s needs.

• Contracted Hours: Either 37.5 or 30 hours per week according to preference
• Shifts:8am-4pm (either 4 or 5 days per week, including alternate weekends as part of a 2 week rolling rota)

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout our home, ensuring it is a safe and pleasant space for our residents and their families.
