Job summary

CARE SOUTH is seeking a Housekeeper for Wickmeads, our purpose-built residential and dementia care home in Tuckton, Bournemouth. Flexible hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm to suit business needs and interview discussions with the Home Manager.

Responsibilities include cleaning, supporting laundry, complying with COSHH and other policies, and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for residents, staff and visitors. We value the dedication of our not-for-profit charity team.

• You must be 18 years or older.

• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
• Comply with all policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations, with regard to cleaning products and use of chemicals.
• Work as a team player to create and maintain a co-operative, friendly and welcoming atmosphere within the home.

Shift Pattern: Flexible working hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm, to be agreed with the Home Manager at interview in line with business needs. We have an exciting opportunity for a Housekeeper to join the team at Wickmeads, our stunning purpose built residential and dementia care home situated in Tuckton, Bournemouth.

What you will be doing:

• Ensuring our home is kept clean, safe and comfortable throughout for our residents
• Supporting with the cleaning of communal areas and residents own rooms
• Provide some support to the laundry team to include washing, drying and ironing of residents clothing
