Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking a Home/Household Technical Underwriter to contribute to KPI delivery and uphold high underwriting standards. You will use deep technical insight to inform decisions and work within a collaborative Household underwriting team focused on emerging risks and technology trends.

Hybrid role with a Bournemouth base. The role offers exposure across Household, with a strong emphasis on data-driven insights, stakeholder communication, and robust underwriting controls.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to understand and apply household underwriting concepts.
• High level of data literacy and ability to analyse performance and risk data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating across Pricing, Claims and Distribution functions.
• Ability to contribute to underwriting standards and controls.
• Desirable: experience supporting counter-fraud activity and responsible AI usage.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to KPIs and inform underwriting decisions through data insights.
• Elevate decision making to ensure technically excellent underwriting per authority and standards.
• Collaborate with Pricing, Trading, Claims and Distribution teams to drive profitable growth.
• Support counter-fraud activity by identifying trends and strengthening controls.
• Present technical information clearly to stakeholders.
