Job summary

Redhill Academy Trust is seeking a dedicated House Support Officer in Arnold to join our pastoral team. You will help promote student wellbeing, monitor attendance and behaviour, and provide targeted support to enable pupils to achieve their best.

You will collaborate with Heads of House, parents and external agencies, manage safeguarding duties, and contribute to personalised pastoral interventions. This role is 37 hours per week, full time, term time only.

Qualifications

• Strong organisation, resilience and compassion with excellent communication.
• Experience working with students, parents, staff and external agencies.
• Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality.
• Experience in pastoral support or youth work would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support Heads of House in promoting student wellbeing and attendance.
• Investigate and manage pastoral concerns and interventions.
• Liaise with parents and external agencies.
• Support attendance and behaviour monitoring.
• Act as frontline contact for student welfare and safeguarding.

Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential? We are seeking a dedicated and proactive House Support Officer to join our pastoral team and play a key role in promoting student wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and achievement.

About you…

You will be a highly organised, resilient, and compassionate individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Confident working with students, parents, staff, and external agencies, you will have the ability to build positive relationships whilst providing appropriate challenge and support. You will be committed to safeguarding, understand the importance of confidentiality, and be passionate about helping young people succeed both academically and personally. Experience in pastoral support, education, youth work, or a similar role would be advantageous.

As a House Support Officer, you will work closely with Heads of House and the wider pastoral team to support students' wellbeing, attendance, behaviour, and engagement with school. You will provide targeted interventions, investigate and manage pastoral concerns, liaise with parents and external agencies, support attendance and behaviour monitoring, and act as a frontline contact for student welfare and safeguarding matters.
