Job summary

At Ormiston Forge Academy we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed, and highly visible Pastoral Support Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, playing a key role in promoting positive behaviour, attendance, and student wellbeing.

As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will be at the heart of our academy community, supporting students to be ready to learn and succeed. You will take a lead role in:

• Promoting excellent attendance and punctuality by working closely with students and their families.
• Managing day‑to‑day pastoral concerns and being the first point of contact for pastoral issues.
• Building strong, positive relationships with students, parents, carers, and staff.
• Supporting behaviour management across the academy, including proactive supervision and incident response.

Qualifications required:

• To be considered for the post you must have achieved a minimum of GCSE Grade A to C (or equivalent) passes in maths and English.
• First aid training will need to be undertaken if an appropriate First Aid qualification is not already held.
