Job Title: House Manager

McCarthy Stone is the UK’s leading retirement living provider. We are seeking a dedicated House Manager to join our team at Foxmead Court in Storrington, West Sussex.

Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We are flexible around school hours.

About the Role

As a customer-centric House Manager, you will exemplify our high standards of customer service. Your primary role is to enhance our homeowners' quality of life and support their independence. This diverse role includes high-level customer service, front-of-house duties, facilities management, and community building through event coordination and regular meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Welcome new homeowners and support their settling-in process.
  2. Provide professional front-of-house service and greet visitors warmly.
  3. Be the first point of contact for homeowners, offering support and advice as needed.
  4. Collaborate with partners and suppliers to ensure smooth estate operations.
  5. Represent McCarthy Stone to homeowners' families and friends.
  6. Handle homeowner issues with sensitivity, respecting privacy and confidentiality.
  7. Manage gardens and grounds to maintain a safe, secure, and pleasant environment.
  8. Facilitate social interactions and promote active retirement living.
  9. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Candidate Competencies
  1. Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude.
  2. Extensive experience in customer service roles.
  3. Professional approach with high-quality standards.
  4. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, varied environment.
  5. Resilience and effective problem-solving skills.
  6. Basic awareness of health and safety (advantageous).
  7. Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  8. First aid qualifications are desirable but training will be provided.
