• Manage deliveries and stock rotation of patient meals and related food/consumables to ward level.
• Support the delivery of Housekeeping and Catering services in line with NHS Wales standards and HACCP procedures.
• Move flexibly across CTM sites to meet service needs while maintaining high standards of hygiene and confidentiality.

Job description

We have 2 x 17.5hour position available for Hotel Services Assistant positions that have arisen at Prince Charles Hospital to manage to delivery of stores and stock rotation within a busy Catering department at Prince Charles Hospital.

To support the Facilities (Hotel Services) team in delivering Housekeeping and Catering services to the National Standards for these services in NHS Wales, HIW standard 5 and 9 and Organisational Standards. To assist in developing, maintaining and promoting the highest standards of service delivery and team working practices; and helping to maintain open, effective communication., The successful candidates will be required to work within a busy Catering environment and previous experience would be an asset. The main duties of the post include the management of deliveries and stock rotation of patient meals and various food and consumables to enable Patient feeding at ward level within Prince Charles Hospital in accordance with departmental schedules and specifications and in line with all cleanliness and legislative requirements that govern the delivery of the Catering Service such as Food Safety Act 1990, Food Hygiene (Wales) Legislation 2006, Food Handling policies and procedures, COSHH and HACCP procedures.

Flexibility is essential and the successful candidates will be expected to adapt to service pressures and modernisation. Also the successful candidates would need to be flexible with regard to movement throughout all Health Board sites. The successful candidates must observe and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, confidentiality, courtesy and consideration to all patients and fellow employees.
