Job summary

Platinum Recruitment is seeking an experienced Hotel Operations Manager for a luxury country house hotel near Woking. Lead day-to-day operations, drive guest satisfaction and commercial performance, and act as senior manager in the General Manager’s absence.

The role offers 45 hours per week, £38,000–£40,000 depending on experience, plus benefits including tips share, free meals, parking and pension, with progression toward General Manager responsibilities.

Qualifications

• A successful track record at Head of Department or senior management level within a luxury hotel.
• Experience within a busy country house hotel, including weddings and events, would be highly advantageous
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Previous experience with a major global hotel brand would be advantageous
• A commercially driven approach with the ability to think like a guest and act like an owner
• Confident communication and influencing skills
• A genuine passion for outstanding hospitality and maintaining high standards

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the property
• Provide senior management cover in the General Manager’s absence
• Maintain consistent standards across all departments
• Work closely with department heads to develop their teams and improve performance
• Support the successful delivery of weddings, events and other special occasions
• Analyse guest feedback and introduce practical action plans
• Identify opportunities to maximise revenue and profitability
