Job summary

InterContinental London O2, nestled on Greenwich Peninsula and attached to the O2, offers a five-star experience with 493 bedrooms, diverse dining, spa facilities and the UK’s largest pillar-free ballroom.

As a Shift Engineer you will provide repair and preventative maintenance across the hotel, keep the buildings and grounds in top condition, and handle day-to-day maintenance requests to ensure a flawless guest experience.

Qualifications

• 5-star hotel experience in a similar role is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexible approach, remaining calm under pressure and able to adapt to changes quickly.
• Enjoy working as part of a team and supporting colleagues.
• Approachable, positive and proactive demeanor.
• Plumbing, carpentry and electrical skills are a real advantage.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective repair and preventative maintenance to hotel, grounds and facilities.
• Maintain the building and grounds to the highest standard, without disrupting guests.
• Complete day-to-day maintenance requests.
• Ensure fixtures and fittings are maintained in working condition and defects are corrected promptly.
• Complete regular machinery testing and maintenance on hotel equipment.
• Respond to maintenance emergency calls from all departments.
