Job summary

Edwardian Hotels London is seeking a proactive Shift Engineer to join The May Fair Hotel's Maintenance team, ensuring smooth daily operations and guest comfort. You will contribute to maintaining the property and supporting a high standard of service in a luxury setting.

As a Shift Leader, you will respond to requests, coordinate repair and planned maintenance, supervise maintenance assistants, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Must have current hotel maintenance experience.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform electrical, plumbing, decoration and carpentry tasks.
• Understanding of water management and environmental matters.
• Demonstrates ownership, teamwork and motivation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the hotel on a daily basis to ensure smooth operation.
• Respond to requests from guests and hosts quickly and efficiently.
• Coordinate and prioritise repair and planned maintenance orders.
• Check and monitor completed work to ensure standards are met.
• Supervise maintenance assistants and delegate tasks as needed.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory fire and safety standards.
