Job summary

MCR Property Group is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for Safestay Holland Park, Kensington, London. You will oversee and coordinate maintenance across the hostel, focusing on plumbing, painting, carpentry, electricals, and general repairs to keep guest areas in top condition.

You will implement preventive maintenance programmes, supervise staff and contractors, and ensure safety and compliance while maintaining records and reporting to management.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in hotel maintenance, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, painting, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems, HVAC systems, and building services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform plumbing repairs including leak detection and fixture maintenance.
• Oversee painting and decoration works across guest rooms and public areas.
• Carry out general handyman tasks including carpentry and tiling.
• Coordinate minor electrical maintenance including lighting fixtures and switches.
• Monitor HVAC and air conditioning systems and coordinate with contractors for servicing.
• Support room maintenance and refurbishment programmes to keep guest rooms sellable.
• Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors across cluster hotels.
• Ensure safety, health compliance and proper maintenance logs.
