Job summary

Sir Richard Sutton Limited (SRSL) is seeking a Finance Assistant for the Hotels Finance team at The Francis Hotel in Bath. This hands-on role supports reconciliations, credit control, payments, reporting, and financial analysis to keep information accurate and controls effective.

You'll work with hotel leaders and the Finance team, handling daily tasks and contributing to timely, insightful financial information for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong numerical skills and close attention to detail.
• Competent use of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel.
• Organised and self-motivated approach with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting systems would be advantageous.
• Experience with procurement systems such as Procure Wizard would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily revenue, payment, cash, and credit card reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Review Night Audit information and ensure financial records are accurate and complete.
• Maintain key performance information including EBITDA tracker, F&B reporting, and sales forecasts.
• Monitor outstanding debt, follow up with debtors, and support the Credit Control function to improve debtor days.
• Process approved invoices and payment runs with correct coding in NetSuite.
• Support payroll productivity reporting by maintaining daily sales information in Sona.
• Provide accrual analysis and other financial information to support the Hotels Cost Accountant.
• Assist the General Manager and Heads of Department with financial analysis and queries as required.
