Job summary

Sir Richard Sutton Limited (SRSL) seeks a Finance Assistant for the Hotels Finance team at The Francis Hotel in Bath. The role is hands-on, supporting reconciliations, credit control, reporting, and financial analysis to keep information accurate and provide insights for hotel operations.

You’ll work with hotel leaders and the Finance team, handling reconciliations, debt monitoring, invoicing, payroll reporting, and contributing to robust controls and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within hospitality.
• Strong numerical skills and close attention to detail.
• Competent use of Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel.
• Organised, self-motivated approach with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Confidence working independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Experience of NetSuite or a similar accounting system would be advantageous.
• Experience of Procure Wizard or a purchase-to-pay system would be useful.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily revenue, payment, cash, and credit card reconciliations.
• Review Night Audit information and ensure records are accurate.
• Maintain KPI information, EBITDA tracker, and sales forecasts.
• Monitor outstanding debt and support the Credit Control function.
• Process approved invoices and payment runs with correct coding in NetSuite.
• Support payroll productivity reporting by maintaining daily sales data in Sona.
• Provide accrual analysis and financial information to the Cost Accountant.
• Assist the General Manager and HoDs with financial analysis as required.
