Job summary

Novotel London Greenwich is seeking a hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to oversee day-to-day operations across all F&B outlets. You will lead, train and develop the F&B team to deliver outstanding service and uphold high standards of food quality, hygiene and presentation.

Qualifications

• Previous management experience within Food & Beverage, hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or a similar environment
• Strong leadership and team-management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Good understanding of F&B operations, stock control, and cost management
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
• Commercial awareness with a focus on achieving revenue and profitability targets
• Flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays when required
• Good IT and administrative skills

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day operations of all Food & Beverage outlets
• Lead, train, motivate, and develop the F&B team to deliver excellent service
• Ensure consistently high standards of customer service, food quality, presentation, and hygiene
• Monitor guest satisfaction and respond professionally to feedback and complaints
• Manage staffing levels, rotas, attendance, and departmental performance
• Control food, beverage, labour, and operational costs
• Monitor stock levels, purchasing, wastage, and inventory control
• Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain food quality and efficient service
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food hygiene, licensing, and company policies
• Manage F&B budgets and contribute to achieving revenue and profitability targets
• Analyse sales, costs, and performance reports and implement improvements where required
• Support menu development, promotions, events, and new F&B initiatives
• Build strong relationships with suppliers and ensure value for money
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment across all F&B areas
• Ensure the team consistently follows company standards and procedures
• Work closely with senior management and other departments to ensure smooth overall operations
