Job description

We are looking for a Duty Manager to join our team at our award-winning hotel in Hampshire.

Chewton Glen is a true English original. From the unique 72 bedrooms including 14 one-of-a-kind Treehouses, to the award-winning newly refurbished spa and state-of-the-art James Martin cookery school, it offers an abundance of ways to revive your senses. The blissful 130 acres of woodland are home to an indoor and outdoor tennis centre, a 9-hole golf course, heritage orchard, 70 working beehives, a walled kitchen garden, croquet lawn, and more.

Aim of the Duty Manager:

To ensure the well-being of all guests during their stay at the hotel and maintain a high level of host presence throughout to ensure the overall smooth running of the hotel at all times when on duty.

Responsibilities of the Duty Manager:

• Ensure preparedness for every shift with comprehensive hotel knowledge.
• Show passion for guests' experience by attending daily briefings to learn about special occasions, requirements, and VIP guests.
• Take ownership in welcoming and bidding farewell to all visitors in a warm and professional manner.
• Ensure all guests receive prompt service and guidance.
• Confidently handle guest requirements, special requests, and complaints.
• Oversee the smooth operation of all departments during your shift.

About you:

• Confident in dealing with guests, managers, and colleagues.
• Adept at multitasking.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and confident communication with the team.
