Job description

Our client runs one of the UK's leading and most exclusive Hotel and Golf Resort settings. After a period of development and expansion, they are now looking to recruit a House and Lodge Manager to join their progressive senior leadership team.

Role Description

The House & Lodge Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the estate's luxury, five-star guest accommodation and services. This is a hands-on management role covering every aspect of the hotel operation, including front of house, reception, housekeeping, food and beverage, and concierge. Working closely with the sales and bookings teams to ensure the highest standards for every resident stay, tailored packages, and private hires, this role is central to resort operations. The post holder must have excellent organisational and communication skills, with a proven ability to lead, train, and direct staff, as well as a keen eye for detail.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Manage daily operations of House & Lodge accommodations, including lounge, dining, bar, hot tub, and treatment room facilities.
2. Maintain routine setup procedures such as heating, lighting, floral arrangements, decor standards, displays, dining settings, and bar arrangements.
3. Develop and regularly update standard operating procedures in consultation with senior management to ensure guest satisfaction.
4. Provide leadership and support to guest services, resort services, housekeeping, and food & beverage staff.
5. Plan and deliver staff training and briefings aligned with business needs throughout the year.
6. Ensure accurate registration, payment processing, and resident folio management.
7. Oversee hotel supplier and service agreements, including cleaning, linen services, amenities, and other providers.
8. Maintain hotel furnishings and equipment to the highest standards, including utilities and electronics.
9. Manage housekeeping functions, laundry, linen, minibar stock, and amenities.
10. Oversee guest arrival and departure procedures, including check-in, welcome gifts, VIP treatments, and turndown services.
11. Implement checks to maintain presentation standards in rooms and public areas.
12. Coordinate with F&B management to oversee food and beverage services, stock rooms, and cellars.
