Job summary

Sterling Cross Ltd in Maidstone is recruiting an experienced CDP/Chef for a busy hotel kitchen. Working closely with the Head Chef, you’ll help maintain consistently high food quality, service, hygiene and kitchen performance.

This hands-on role requires leadership, a calm approach under pressure and a passion for great food. Shift patterns typically 13:00–22:00 over five days with occasional breakfast shifts; driving is essential, and you’ll enjoy 28 days’ holiday, free meals on duty, hotel

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen.
• Experience in branded hotel or high-volume environment.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to lead, support and motivate a kitchen team.
• Hands-on, enthusiastic and passionate about creating a great working environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Head Chef to run the kitchen and maintain high standards.
• Support the wider kitchen brigade and contribute to team success.
