Job summary

Lemontree Recruitment is seeking committed temporary staff to support residents in a Drug & Alcohol Recovery Hostel in Brighton and Hove. You will help with day-to-day needs, care plans, safety, and engaging residents with compassionate support.

Ideal candidates have experience in supported housing or similar care environments, hold an Enhanced DBS, and can work flexible evenings and weekends. Strong communication, boundaries, and de-escalation skills are essential to help residents rebuild

Qualifications

• Experience in supported housing, homeless services, drug & alcohol support, or similar care environments.
• Enhanced DBS or willingness to update one.
• Strong communication, boundary-setting, and de-escalation skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Empathetic approach to helping others.

Responsibilities

• Promoting safety, wellbeing, and positive engagement.
• Managing incidents calmly and professionally.
• Liaising with external agencies when required.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience working in supported housing, homeless services, drug & alcohol support, or similar care environments
• A current Enhanced DBS (or willingness to update one)
• Strong communication, boundary-setting, and de-escalation skills
• Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
• A supportive, empathetic approach and a genuine desire to help others

Role Duties Include:
