Job summary

First for Support LTD. is seeking compassionate Agency Support Workers to provide recovery-focused support to residents in hostel accommodation in Bognor Regis.

You will assist individuals experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, mental health difficulties and other complex needs, promoting recovery, independence and wellbeing. The role involves building positive relationships, supporting engagement with services, maintaining safety, and completing daily records and safeguarding procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role within hostels, homelessness services, substance misuse or mental health settings.
• Good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, harm reduction and recovery-focused practice desirable.
• Empathetic, resilient, non-judgemental and committed to supporting vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with residents to encourage engagement with recovery services.
• Support independent living skills and help residents work towards personal goals.

Pay Rate: £12.75-£13.00

Hours: Flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

We are seeking compassionate, reliable and experienced Agency Support Workers to provide recovery-focused support to residents living in hostel accommodation. The Support Worker will assist individuals experiencing homelessness, substance misuse, mental health difficulties and other complex needs, promoting recovery, independence and wellbeing.

The successful Support Worker will build positive relationships with residents, encourage engagement with recovery services, support independent living skills and help individuals work towards their personal goals. The role also involves maintaining a safe environment, completing support plans and daily records, following safeguarding procedures and managing challenging situations professionally.

Candidates should have previous experience as a Support Worker or in a similar role within hostels, homelessness services, substance misuse or mental health settings. A good understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, harm reduction and recovery-focused practice is desirable.

The ideal Support Worker will be empathetic, resilient, non-judgemental and committed to supporting vulnerable adults.

Flexibility to work agency shifts, including evenings and weekends, may be required.
