Job Description

Scope Of Position

The Host will be responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, serving them in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to ensure an excellent guest and member experience. The Host should have extensive knowledge of menu offerings and systems informatics. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace and dining area, communicating with reservations teams, and liaising with guests to take reservations and special requests are also key responsibilities.

The Host will support other team members when required and relay guest feedback and requests to management.

Responsibilities

Operation

  • Manage guest queries, bookings, and special requests efficiently and courteously.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu, products, special events, and promotions.
  • Follow proper reporting procedures for issues.
  • Adhere to grooming standards, including dress code, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
  • Assist callers courteously, take messages accurately, and pass them on promptly.
  • Understand the restaurant's seating arrangements.
  • Accompany guests to their tables and ensure their welfare.
  • Orient guests about the restaurant, concept, food, and any featured artists or events.
  • Comply with security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislation.
  • Practice sustainable waste management and purchasing daily.
  • Perform additional duties in the absence of line managers or as assigned, including working in different departments or restaurants.

Health and Safety

  • Report and rectify hazards immediately.
  • Be familiar with departmental fire, emergency, and bomb procedures.
  • Ensure safety of persons and property by adhering to laws and regulations, and by anticipating hazards.
  • Promote health and safety awareness within the department.

Qualifications
