Job summary

Gordon Ramsay Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Bath is seeking a confident F&B Host/Hostess to welcome guests and help create memorable dining experiences. You will be on the front line, greeting guests, managing seating, and coordinating with the team to deliver superb hospitality.

The role emphasizes strong communication, a warm presence, and a flexible, team-oriented approach within a renowned restaurant brand. The position offers flexible hours and zero-hour opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the restaurant and manage seating.

• Maintain a clean reception area and respond to guest inquiries.
• Assist the F&B team as needed.

We are currently looking for a Restaurnat Host to join our Truly Talented team.

As Hostyou will play a key role in our restaurant and build great relationships with our customers. You’ll have a good understanding of restaurant operations, a real passion for customer care, food and drink and a strong knowledge of wines, beers and spirits.

Your role

As an F&B Host/ Hostess, you will be the face of our business, greeting and welcoming our guests. Your passion for people will be applied to the role to create a memorable experience. You will be a host in the true sense of the word, working hard to create an engaging atmosphere exceeding our guests’ expectations.

Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Host/ Hostess will include but are not limited to:

• Welcome guests to the restaurant;
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists;
• Manage reservations;
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas;
• Greet customers upon their departure;
• Coordinate with F&B team about available seating options;
• Maintain a clean reception area;
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly);
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries;
• Assist F&B team as needed.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.
