Job summary

Holiday Inn Manchester Mediacityuk in Manchester is seeking a Food & Beverage Assistant on a fixed-term, part-time basis. You will work with the food and beverage leadership team to ensure guest satisfaction and hotel success.

The role requires enthusiasm, flexibility, and good hygiene knowledge, with evening and weekend shifts noted. Prior restaurant or bar experience is preferred but not essential, and you will receive team training and opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry.
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures.
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision.
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and serving any beverages requested by guests.
• Ensuring that all tables are set and ready for welcoming guests at all times.
• Ensuring that all guests’ orders are taken and executed in a timely manner.
• Ensuring that cleanliness is kept at the highest standards at all times in the Food & Beverage Outlets.
• Having good knowledge of the food and beverage menu.
• Responding to guests’ queries on the menu selection.
• Communicating any guests’ questions on the menu, the length of wait and product availability with the Food & Beverage and Kitchen teams, as well as any additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the teams accordingly.

Your role

You will work closely with the food and beverage leadership team in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the Hotel and the satisfaction of guests.
