Job summary

Radisson Blu Hotel, London Bloomsbury is seeking a Food & Beverage Host/Hostess to welcome guests and contribute to a memorable dining experience. You will be the face of the restaurant, with a passion for hospitality and knowledge of drinks.

In this role you will greet guests, manage reservations and seating, and support the F&B team in a fast-paced environment. A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Radisson Blu, Bloomsbury Street is a boutique neighbourhood hotel where the area's literary past meets contemporary design. Set moments from the British Museum, Covent Garden, and Tottenham Court Road station, the hotel's mid-century panelled design kindles the feeling of a modern London townhouse.

We are currently looking for a Food & Beverage Host/ Hostess to join our Truly Talented team.

As Host/ Hostess, you will play a key role in our restaurant and build great relationships with our customers. You’ll have a good understanding of restaurant operations, a real passion for customer care, food and drink and a strong knowledge of wines, beers and spirits.

Your role

As an F&B Host/ Hostess, you will be the face of our business, greeting and welcoming our guests. Your passion for people will be applied to the role to create a memorable experience. You will be a host in the true sense of the word, working hard to create an engaging atmosphere exceeding our guests’ expectations.

Responsibilities of Food & Beverage Host/ Hostess will include but are not limited to:

• Welcome guests to the restaurant;
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists;
• Manage reservations;
• Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas;
• Greet customers upon their departure;
• Coordinate with F&B team about available seating options;
• Maintain a clean reception area;
• Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly);
• Answer incoming calls and address customers’ queries;
• Assist F&B team as needed.

The ideal person for this role will be enthusiastic about change, focused on details and trusting.

The core skills and experience required to succeed

• Truly passionate about the Hospitality Industry;
• Previous restaurant or bar experience in a busy environment is preferred but not essential;
• Excellent personal presentation;
• Ability to function independently with a minimum of supervision;
• Excellent communication skills, the ability to communicate verbally and in writing ;
• To be an enthusiastic team player with a flexible approach.

You must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for this role. Documented evidence of eligibility will be required from all candidates prior to commencing employment.
