Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is seeking a resourceful multi skilled operative to join the North Manchester General site. The role focuses on supporting and fixing issues across the hospital to ensure a consistent, high‑quality experience for visitors, staff and patients.

You will perform planned and reactive maintenance across electrical, mechanical, carpentry, landscaping and related services, prioritising workload and following safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic education standard and relevant training in building maintenance.
• 18th Edition electrical regulations knowledge.
• NVQ Level 3/ ONC or equivalent in engineering subjects.

Responsibilities

• Undertake robust estates maintenance and repair works across hospital equipment including electrical, mechanical, carpentry, landscaping and related services.
• Prioritise workload to effect changes and maintain a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors.
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and be trained on new systems while following safety practices.
