Job summary

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Crewe is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician to support the Estates & Facilities Division. You will undertake a diverse range of maintenance, repair and installation work across Trust properties to keep buildings, plant and services safe and fully operational.

The role requires flexibility and the ability to work independently or with contractors, applying your skills across multiple maintenance disciplines to support healthcare delivery.

Main duties of the job

About the Role

As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will report to the Assistant Maintenance Manager/Workload Co-ordinator and become a key member of our Estates Maintenance team.

You will undertake a diverse range of maintenance, repair and installation work across Trust properties, ensuring our buildings, engineering systems and services remain safe, compliant and fully operational. Working both independently and alongside colleagues and contractors, you will help deliver high-quality maintenance services in a busy healthcare environment.

The role requires flexibility, and you will be expected to utilise your skills across a range of maintenance disciplines where competent to do so. You will also support colleagues across the Estates & Facilities Division, helping to maintain a responsive and efficient service.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who is keen to learn, develop and embrace new challenges.

You will have:

• A completed, time-served apprenticeship or equivalent structured training programme in an engineering discipline.

About us

Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (MCHFT) provides good quality, safe and effective healthcare to the people of Cheshire and beyond. The Trust, which manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich, and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford, was established as an NHS Trust in April 1991 and became a Foundation Trust in April 2008.
