Job summary

RBH Hospitality Management is seeking a Maintenance Manager for Hyatt Place London City East in East London. Take charge of maintaining high standards across guest spaces and facilities, leading a proactive maintenance team and overseeing a preventative programme.

You will collaborate with other departments, manage budgets, negotiate supplier contracts, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering a reliable, well‑functioning environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in a maintenance or engineering management role within hospitality or similar settings.
• Expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record of building motivated teams.
• Financial acumen to manage budgets and negotiate contracts without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
• Organisational and multitasking abilities to juggle responsibilities and respond quickly to urgent issues.
• Flexibility to respond to urgent repairs, including evenings, weekends and on‑call duties.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of maintaining our hotel’s high standards, ensuring guest spaces and facilities operate flawlessly.
• Lead and inspire the maintenance team to a proactive, hands‑on approach to repairs and upgrades.
• Design and oversee a preventative maintenance programme to extend equipment life.
• Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs swiftly and safely.
• Manage the department budget, track expenses and negotiate supplier contracts.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety and aesthetic standards across all areas.
• Foster continuous improvement and share best practices within the team.
• Stay up‑to‑date with tools and maintenance techniques to drive innovation.
