Job summary

WatchHouse seeks a Learning & Development Manager to lead the Training Team and translate strategy into practical, high-impact development across Coffee and Hospitality. You will work hands-on in our London Houses and travel internationally, shaping learning content, calendars and delivery to drive excellent service.

You will develop managers and teams, drive performance, and build talent pipelines for future growth, with a focus on hospitality excellence and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Significant operational experience within premium hospitality.
• Naturally exudes hospitality and inspires others through communication and leadership.
• Previous Learning & Development or people-development experience in fast-paced hospitality or multi-site environments.
• Experience leading, managing and developing a training team or equivalent function.
• Excellent facilitator capable of delivering engaging group training to managers and teams.
• Strong coaching capability and ability to develop people in live operational settings.
• Experience creating high-quality training resources and practical learning programmes.
• Experience managing and developing an LMS, ideally CPL or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the WatchHouse Training Team across Coffee and Hospitality.
• Set priorities, objectives and expectations for the Training Team; conduct 1:1s and coaching.
• Own the training calendar and coordinate programmes across UK Houses and international sites.
• Facilitate engaging group training sessions and workshops; deliver development programmes.
• Spend regular time in Houses to understand challenges and identify development opportunities.
• Collaborate with Operations to schedule training around busy House operations.
• Support onboarding, new House openings and strategic initiatives with training plans.
• Monitor attendance, completion and feedback; ensure actions are followed.
