Job summary

Hiddenwell - Head Office is seeking an Assistant Financial Controller for Ardencote Manor with occasional travel to Central Services, Moreton-in-Marsh. Based on site, you will work closely with the Cluster Financial Controller to establish strong financial controls ahead of reopening and to support ongoing performance.

You will handle revenue reconciliations, audits, payroll review, and monthly accounts while partnering with hotel departments to drive improvements and ensure accurate financial

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel, spa, leisure or hospitality finance required.
• Experience with night audit, income audit, and revenue reconciliation.
• Excellent Excel skills and familiarity with finance systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily revenue reconciliations across all revenue streams.
• Support night audit and income audit processes; ensure revenue is posted, balanced and reported.
• Investigate discrepancies with department heads to resolve variances.
• Support regular stocktakes and review results against usage.
• Review payroll information for accuracy and monitor labour costs against budget.
• Assist with monthly management accounts and departmental P&L reviews.
• Identify trends and opportunities to improve financial performance.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and financial planning for reopening.
• Support month-end processes and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Act as on-site finance contact for Ardencote’s operations.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Participate in wider finance projects and improvements.
