Job summary

Aurora Foxes, a specialist college and training hotel for young people with learning disabilities in Minehead, seeks an Education Learning Support Practitioner. You will assist students during sessions across vocational training and support the hotel business team to help learners gain work and life skills.

The role focuses on enabling progress, producing supportive resources, and upholding privacy, equality, and safeguarding standards in a caring hospitality education setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role desirable but training can be provided.
• Experience in hospitality setting (Front of House or Food Preparation) is preferred.
• Experience in care or education sectors is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist students during sessions within vocational training and support staff in the hotel business.
• Help students progress, maintain progress records, and support tutor with evaluations.
• Create resources to support learning and respect confidentiality and equal opportunities policy.
• Support with safeguarding checks as part of pre-employment procedures.
