Job summary

The Venues Collection at Eastwood Hall in Nottingham is seeking a friendly Hospitality Assistant to join a busy team. You’ll welcome guests, serve food and drinks, and help set up meetings, events and functions.

No day is the same as you work with kitchen, events and wider Food & Beverage teams to deliver brilliant service, maintain high cleanliness, and ensure guests feel welcome. Previous hospitality experience helps, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests with a friendly smile and making them feel at home.
• Providing great food and beverage service, taking orders and ensuring timely delivery.
• Talking guests through menus and making recommendations where appropriate.
• Setting up tables, restaurant spaces and meeting rooms for service.
• Ensuring food and drinks look the part and meet high standards.
• Preparing simple items and beverages when needed (coffees, salads).
• Handling payments accurately for a smooth guest experience.
• Keeping restaurants, kitchens and service areas clean and tidy.
• Supporting stock checks and flagging low supplies.
• Working with kitchen, events and F&B teams to deliver fantastic service.
• Helping colleagues during busy periods and pitching in as needed.
• Following food safety, allergen, health, safety and hygiene procedures.

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic HospitalityAssistant to join the team at Eastwood Hall!

From restaurant service and preparing delicious food and drinks to helping set up for meetings, events and functions, no two days need to be the same. You’ll be right at the heart of what makes our guests’ visits special, helping everything run smoothly and making sure everyone feels welcome.

You don’t need to know everything on day one. What matters most is having a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a passion for great service.

What you’ll be doing...

• Welcoming guests with a friendly smile and making them feel at home.

• Talking guests through menus and making recommendations where appropriate.

• Setting up tables, restaurants, meeting rooms and event spaces ready for service.

• Handling payments accurately and ensuring guests have a smooth experience from start to finish.

• Keeping our restaurants, kitchens and service areas clean, tidy and ready for action.

• Supporting stock checks and letting the team know when supplies are running low.

• Working closely with our kitchen, Conference & Events and wider Food & Beverage teams to deliver fantastic service.

• Helping colleagues during busy periods and getting stuck in wherever you’re needed.

• Following our food safety, allergen management, health and safety and hygiene procedures.
