Job summary

Chelmsford Manor Care Home is seeking a kind, caring and organised Hospitality Assistant to join our team. To ensure residents and visitors receive an efficient food service, maintaining a clean working environment within the dining room and server at all times.

The home is due to open October 2026 with a part-time contract, 08:00-19:00 shifts and alternate weekend working. Salary is £13.50 per hour. Hospitality or catering experience is desirable, with opportunities for progression and benefits.

Qualifications

• Hospitality or catering experience is desirable.
• Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable.
• Ability to effectively communicate with other members of the team.
• Prepared to participate in the activities organised in the Home.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-standard hospitality service in the dining room and server area.
• Support and assist visitors.
• Inform the Chef of any individual requirements of residents.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures, as per company HACCP.
• Ensure that all training given is adhered to.
• Ensure records and reports are properly written up.
• Promote safeguarding the welfare of adults in contact with the role.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure there is a provision of high standard of hospitality service.
• Support andassistvisitors.
• Inform the Chef of any individual requirements of residents.
• Following cleaning schedules and procedures, as per company HACCP.
• To ensure that all training given is adhered to.
• Ensure records and reports areproperly writtenup.
• Take responsible for promoting safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holderis responsible foror comes into contact with .
