We are currently recruiting for a Hospitality Assistant to join our team at one of our prestigious sites in Central Birmingham, B4.

Hospitality Assistant - 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

Wilson Vale is an established, quality-led contract caterer. We work with amazing clients across the UK who place huge value on great food as a key part of their culture and community. We work in office restaurants, independent schools, and at conference venues with the same high-end ethos throughout.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Hospitality Assistant to join our team at a prestigious law firm based in the heart of Birmingham city centre. Our small Hospitality team strives to deliver impeccable service and modern exciting food in an organised and timely manner. You won’t stand still or have a dull moment in this very hands-on role. We provide a fresh food service, serving seasonal and innovative food, including bespoke breakfasts, working lunches, showpiece buffet lunches, private dining, and special events. The ideal candidate will preferably have previous food and beverage experience, excellent customer care and social skills, be able to work using their own initiative, and have the ability to work as part of a team. Full training will be given, but the ability to learn quickly and adapt to the environment is a must. Suitable for someone with previous restaurant experience, looking for more work/life balance and weekends off.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Have experience working in a similar role and environment
• Be highly organised and comfortable working in a high-pressured environment
• Ensure you have high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety
• Keep up standards of hygiene and ensure all areas are clean and tidy
• Have excellent customer service and social skills
• Be responsible for serving food to staff and client guests
• Have a can-do attitude and work well as part of a team
• Have basic food knowledge
• Be willing to participate and enjoy working as part of the team
