Hospitality & Events Duty Manager - Brentford Football Club

£34,000 (basic) per annum, plus benefits

About the role:

This role plays a key part in delivering exceptional hospitality experiences, supporting catering operations across matchday lounges and overseeing the planning and execution of Conference & Events (C&E) on non-matchdays.

With a strong focus on quality, attention to detail, and customer satisfaction, you will ensure seamless service that exceeds guest expectations. A deep understanding of both food and beverage is essential, along with a passion for sharing and expanding knowledge.

Responsibilities
  • Matchday & Event Planning: Collaborate with the Head of Hospitality to plan and deliver matchday operations and C&E (Conferences & Events) business on non-matchdays.
  • Event & Hospitality Management: Oversee and manage all allocated C&E events and matchday hospitality lounges, ensuring smooth operations, team coordination, and high service standards.
  • Operational Execution & Compliance: Ensure all relevant operational paperwork, including P&L accounts, RTS, POS requirements, and UBEYA, is accurately completed for each event.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Lead and manage a team of up to 10 staff across various roles, fostering a strong service culture while ensuring training and development opportunities are in place.
  • Guest Experience & Customer Focus: Champion a guest-focused approach by ensuring hospitality standards meet and exceed client expectations while gathering and acting on customer feedback.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain and monitor all health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance across all C&E events and matchday operations.
  • Innovation & Market Research: Support the development of hospitality and event offerings by researching food trends, conducting competitor analysis, and mapping customer journeys.
  • Financial & Profit Protection: Assist in managing event budgets and P&L statements while implementing strong profit protection measures, including stock control and billing procedures.

Requirements
  • Proven experience in events, ideally within a luxury hotel or venue, with a focus on Conference and Events (C&E) operations.
  • Experience in hotels, stadiums, or event catering environments is highly desirable.
  • Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate stadia activity and event schedules.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills and proven experience in managing and motivating multiple team members.
  • A natural passion for food and hospitality, with a keen focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a strong commercial awareness; proactive in identifying opportunities and solving problems.
  • Ability to build, maintain, and strengthen guest and client relationships, acting as a credible ambassador for the business.
  • Hands-on management style with a commitment to maintaining high standards and quality across all aspects of service.
  • A positive, proactive team player with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Assertive and calm, able to thrive under pressure and manage competing priorities effectively.
