Job summary

Macdonald Hotels & Resorts in Manchester is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join the Finance Team. You will assist in self-accounting for all departments and the hotel business, handling forecasting, sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll, and liaising with Reception and Nights teams on night audit and cash handling.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, be highly organised, and able to work as part of a team while managing own workload.

Qualifications

• Experience in hotel finance is essential.
• Knowledge of Sage Accounts.
• Able to meet deadlines and prioritise work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Accurate and methodical in approach.

Responsibilities

• Assist in self-accounting for all departments and the hotel business.
• Forecasting, sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll.
• liaise with Reception and Nights Teams re night audit, cash handling, billing and payment practices.
• Maintain high standards of service within the Finance team.
