Job summary

Royal Liverpool University Hospital is seeking a Domestic Assistant to join the Domestic Department to support cleaning of wards, clinics and offices to the National Standards of Cleaning 2025. Shifts vary and overtime is regularly available; previous cleaning experience is essential and the role is physically demanding, involving mopping and lifting.

You will perform general cleaning duties, follow infection control policies, and may be required to carry out floor maintenance and deep cleaning

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent is required.
• Previous domestic or cleaning experience is desirable.
• Physically fit for mopping, damp dusting, lifting and carrying.

Responsibilities

• Clean wards, clinics and offices to high standards.
• Carry out general cleaning duties to the National Standards of Cleaning 2025.
• Carry out enhanced and deep cleaning of patient areas, clinics and offices.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Carry out floor maintenance, including mopping and damp dusting.
• Clean external areas across the trust.
• Lift and carry as part of the cleaning work.
