Royal Preston Hospital is recruiting a Domestic Assistant (Band 2) on a permanent contract with variable hours across full-time and part-time positions. The role covers general cleaning of wards, public and staff areas in line with NHS guidelines.

Training will be provided; no prior experience is required, but reliability and teamwork are valued. You will work as part of the One Lancashire and South Cumbria team to keep hospital environments safe and tidy, supporting patients and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning in a working environment.
• Experience in healthcare settings is beneficial.
• Ability to interact with patients and staff in a courteous manner.

Responsabilités

• Clean wards, public and staff areas according to rota and NHS standards.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities as required.
• Assist with cleaning in other areas to support service delivery as needed.
• Identify and report equipment defects and stock shortages.
• Follow security and access procedures and contribute to ongoing domestic service improvements.
