Job summary

Medirest, part of Compass Group UK&I, seeks a Domestic Assistant to join our hospital cleaning team. You will help maintain clean wards, toilets, and public areas, following infection control practices and safety guidelines. The role offers shift coverage and the chance to contribute to patient care and comfort.

Experience is welcome but not required; a positive attitude and willingness to learn are valued. DBS check is required and costs are covered by the employer.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital cleaning is beneficial.
• Ability to follow health and safety guidelines.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning wards, side rooms, toilets, showers and public areas.
• Maintain and remove rubbish when full and ensure areas are clean and safe.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and use equipment as instructed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors and healthcare staff.
