Job summary

Compass Group UK&I is recruiting a Domestic Assistant to join Medirest in a hospital setting. You will contribute to infection control and patient care by performing cleaning tasks across wards and facilities, ensuring safety and cleanliness for patients, staff and visitors.

Shifts are variable and may include high- and low-dust cleaning, mopping, and waste removal, with an emphasis on maintaining hospital standards and following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Passionate about patient care and able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and healthcare staff.
• Able to work under pressure, individually and as part of a team with a flexible approach.
• Willingness to learn and go the extra mile for patients.
• This position is subject to a Disclosure & Barring Service check; costs met by the employer.

Responsibilities

• High and low dusting, mopping, wiping and scrubbing surfaces.
• Cleaning of wards, side rooms, toilets, showers, infected and public areas.
• Ensure rubbish bins are maintained and removed when full.
• Maintain high hospital standards by ensuring all areas are clean, presentable and safe for visitors by following policies and procedures.
• Use equipment in accordance with the role following Health & Safety guidelines.
