Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is recruiting for a part-time catering assistant based at Vale of Leven Hospital. You will support patient meal services, plate meals at service points, and ensure ward and kitchen cleanliness in line with HACCP guidelines.

You will work 5.76 hours per week with shifts including Saturdays and Sundays, wear protective clothing, and follow food safety and health-and-safety regulations. The role offers NHS benefits and flexible working options where possible.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital or catering environments preferred.
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and HACCP procedures.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Provide catering service to patients, staff and visitors.
• Plating patient meals and coordinating with nursing staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen and ward areas.
