Job summary

Equans is seeking a Shift Electrical Engineer to join our team at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital (MMUH) in Smethwick. The role is full-time on a 40.25-hour week with a rotating shift pattern (2 days 7am-7pm, 2 nights 7pm-7am, then 4 days off).

Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 2 and 3 (AM218th Edition) in relevant trade.
• Experience in maintenance environments.
• Healthcare maintenance experience desirable and DBS clearance essential.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive jobs with diagnostics, fault finding and repair of complex mechanical systems.
• Respond to BMS alerts during night shift and coordinate with Helpdesk.
• Obtain Competent Person status for LV systems, access control, alarms, medical gas installations.
• Act as Authorised Person after training.
• Work on emergency lighting, nurse calls, general electrics and fire alarms.
