Job summary

Equans is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the MMUH team in Smethwick. This full-time role (40 hours/week) offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will diagnose and repair complex electrical systems, respond to BMS alerts during night shifts, and progress to Competent Person and Authorised Person statuses after training. A DBS check is required, and experience in healthcare maintenance is desirable.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds levels 2 and 3 are required.
• AM2 qualification is required.
• 18th Edition BS or IET wiring regulations familiarity.
• Previously worked within a maintenance environment.
• Healthcare maintenance experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to reactive jobs to diagnose and repair complex electrical systems.
• Respond to BMS alerts and phone calls during nightshift as first contact.
• Obtain Competent Person status for LV electrical, access control, alarms, medical gas systems.
• Act as Authorised Person after training.
• Work on emergency lighting, nurse calls, general electrics, and fire alarms.
