Job summary

Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Security Officer (Band 3) to provide a visible safety presence and high-quality security services across Arrowe Park and Clatterbridge sites on Wirral. The role requires responding to incidents promptly, protecting patients and staff, and supporting patients and visitors with courtesy and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Security experience within a healthcare environment.
• Willingness to undergo on the job training and attend specialist courses, including physical intervention training.
• Experience working with the public in a customer-facing role.
• Experience in physical intervention and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible, high-profile security presence across the Trust's hospital sites to protect patients, staff and visitors.
• Ensure car parks are operable and used correctly by visitors and staff.
• Log and report all incidents (aggression, equipment loss, property damage) on incident forms and escalate to the Security Manager.
• Possess a full, clean driving licence and apply training in physical intervention when required.
