Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is recruiting for a Security Officer to join a 24-hour security team protecting patients, staff and visitors across Leicester's three sites: LRI, LGH and Glenfield.

You'll play a visible role, provide high-quality customer service, and respond to security incidents with professionalism. Full training will be provided and you will be part of a dedicated team maintaining a safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as security officer in healthcare settings.
• Able to respond to challenging/traumatic security incidents.
• Strong communication with patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour security cover across three sites (LRI, LGH, Glenfield).
• Record security incidents and complete documentation.
• Monitor CCTV in line with data protection.
• Protect hospital property from theft and vandalism.
